Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership - Student Profiles
My research focuses on the European art market during the First World War. While this transnational study touches upon processes of art politicization in an age of nationalism, it also examines cultural and social transformations within a European bourgeoisie threatened by revolution, inflation, and financial crises. By employing both quantitative and qualitative methods, this project reflects on the economic, cultural and political value of art in 20th century Europe.
Before coming to Cambridge, I gained an MSc in Economic and Social History from the University of Oxford (Distinction) and completed a master`s degree in art history and a traineeship programme at Christie`s.
