Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership - Student Profiles

Biography

I completed my undergraduate degree in English at Jesus College, Cambridge, and continued there for my MPhil in American Literature. I worked on sound and motion in the writing of American folksinger Woody Guthrie, and was awarded the 2017 Woody Guthrie Fellowship. My PhD explores the ways in which poetry of the American Civil War listened to the War's sounds.
