Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership - Student Profiles

Biography

My research focuses on the interaction between ontogeny, physical activity, and the structural organization of trabecular bone. I use high resolution µCT imaging to study the three-dimensional trabecular bone structure of humans and apes. The aim of my project is to determine the effects of different types and intensities of physical activity on trabecular bone remodelling, in order to provide a way of reconstructing activity patterns of archaeological populations and fossil hominids.
