Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership - Student Profiles

Biography

I studied law at Cambridge (BA) and Oxford (BCL). I am interested in private law generally, but more particularly in the theoretical foundations of restitution, tort and personal property, and the intersections between those three areas of law. My PhD thesis will explore the justifications for different legal events which create new rights in personal property (such as being the first to take possession of something previously unowned), which have received little direct theoretical attention as a group.

Other academic interests

Restitution, tort law, property law, criminal law
