Cambridge AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership - Student Profiles

Biography

I completed my BA in Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge, followed by an MSt in Modern Languages at Oxford. I am currently researching the Old French Crusade Cycle, a vast cycle of narrative poems about the first crusade, using an approach which combines close attention to medieval manuscript context with modern theory. I have a general academic interest in medieval literature, French literature, and the pedagogy and relevance of medieval studies for the modern student.
