Biography:

My PhD examines the influence of the writer, editor and teacher Gordon Lish on American fiction from 1960 to the present, focusing on the institutional diffusion of Lish's aesthetic theories. Before coming to Cambridge, I worked for several years as an editor at an academic publishing house, and as a literary journalist. I'm co-editor in chief of 3:AM Magazine, and I write about literature, criticism and philosophy for a wide range of print and online publications.
